Aides & Companions works with families and clients who may receive non-medical home care services through DSS, Medicaid waiver programs, the Connecticut Home Care Program for Elders, Adult Family Living, Area Agency on Aging arrangements, and other authorized programs.
These programs can be difficult for families to understand. Our goal is to explain the options in plain language and help families understand how non-medical home care may fit into an authorized care plan.
Services under DSS, Medicaid waiver, CHCPE, Adult Family Living, or other state-funded programs are provided only as authorized by the applicable program, care plan, case manager, access agency, fiscal intermediary, or funding source. These services may differ from services available through private-pay arrangements.
