The Connecticut Home Care Program for Elders, commonly called CHCPE, helps eligible older adults receive services and supports at home. The program is designed to help individuals remain in the community when they might otherwise be at risk of nursing facility placement.
Aides & Companions provides non-medical home care services to clients when services are authorized under CHCPE, Area Agency on Aging arrangements, or other applicable program authorizations.

Who may qualify?
Eligibility is determined by the State of Connecticut and applicable program administrators. In general, CHCPE is intended for older adults who meet age, functional, financial, and program requirements. We can provide general information, but eligibility decisions are made by the appropriate agencies.
